After the sub-base has been done the next stage is putting in the base layer, which should be at least two inches thick. It is necessary to be this depth as it has to support the weight of the vehicles parked on your driveway. The last step in laying your new driveway is putting down the top layer, which should be a minimum of one and a half inches in depth.   You should also ensure there is adequate drainage. The Driveway Benfleet needs to be sloped to stop water from pooling in the middle.
